Chemicals Division

Trans World Trading’s Chemicals Division has long been engaged in water treatment, TWT being the Philippine distributor of Kurita Water (Japan) since the late 1960s. At that time, the division was already active in the rubber industry, supplying basic and specialty chemicals to the tire and footwear manufacturing sectors. In the 1980s, it broadened its operations by going into the distribution of resins for the coating industries through its Industrial Chemicals Division. In the early 1990s, business opportunities with the crude oil refining industry were explored. Trans World Trading then became the Philippine partner of Baker Petrolite (USA), providing chemicals and technical services to the country’s oil refineries. The Chemicals Division continues to expand its product lines. Today, the company also represents major manufacturers of mold release agents, polyurethane insulation chemicals, synthetic thermal oils, aviation hydraulic fluids, castable polyurethane prepolymers, and chemicals for the personal care industry.
